I started with a sketch on the wall of the reference photo above. I altered the color pallet to be less moody and more bright and clear. The edges were intentionally kept messy to loosen up the painting.
Album Cover Design: Pure
This project involved redesigning an album of our choosing in such a way that reflects the sound of the music and the feelings that it evokes. The album that I chose is called Pure by Abbie Gamboa, and it is an album full of soft worship songs. I wanted to capture the serenity of the album as well as the nods to nature through an impressionist-style landscape mural.

At this point, I applied a square crop to my images to fit the type in the best way possible. I experimented with softening the appearance of the type by lowering its opacity and using shades of off-white. I ended up deciding on the shot including the window and railing due to its unexpected composition and bright lighting.
